1000 Hail Mary's is our first collaborative piece since forming the House of
Oddities.  It was always a thought in the back of our minds to do
installation pieces, to be able to experience the piece from all angles while it
looms over you.  Mary was kept under wraps for several months in the
building process with only subtle hints and sneak previews posted at
random in The House and on our social networking profiles.  The unveiling
was at our Atrocity Exhibition of September 2009 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania and the reactions to her were beyond pleasing.  Mary
suspends silently and peacefully, bonded in her 6 foot rusty cage by chain
and adorned in "human skin"  and bone corset and stained bandage cocoon.
We are, for the first time, releasing her for public sale.  Any inquiries into
purchase, questions, or comments may contact us directly at
1000hailmarys@moroseandmacabre.com.
This piece was not intended to offend and you may interpret the meaning
behind this artwork any way you'd like.  However, we will not entertain
sheltered or misguided thoughts. Any and all hostile emails will be ignored
as the ignorant should be.

Enjoy,

"From that fateful day when stinking bits of slime first crawled from the sea and
shouted to the cold stars, 'I AM MAN' , our greatest dread has always been the
knowledge of our own mortality.  But, tonight we shall hurl the gauntlet of science into
the frightful face of death itself.  Tonight we shall ascend into the heavens.  We
shall mock the earthquake.  We shall command the thunders and penetrate into the
very womb of impervious nature herself..."
